Hello, I am Jason Moore from Memphis, TN. Since 1995, I have been a fan of guitar legend Dick Dale. Believe it or not, it had nothing to do with the movie Pulp Fiction. What drew me to his music was his raw, ear bleeding, powerful sound. His tone and playing technique were like no other.

 

Off stage, he and Lana were always very friendly to me. I still have the voicemail on my phone from when Dick invited me to meet him and Lana down at Sun Studio in Memphis, TN.

 

Dick's son, Jimmy, does an incredible job of playing in the style of his dad. While we have corresponded online, I hope to meet him in person one day. As for me, I will do my very best to replicate the sound and style of the King of the Surf Guitar, Dick Dale.
